Garret Hill (b. 1995, USA)
Garret Hill’s sculptural amalgamations of captured imagery and mixed medium materiality reference the traditional and contemporary mechanics of photography within the context of altering how photographic information can be perceived. His diverse use of media stems from the techniques used in industrial mold making and casting along with the processes involved in the manufacturing of surfboards and fiberglass fins.
Hill is a graduating senior from Chapman University earning his BFA in Studio Art with a secondary emphasis in Digital Arts. He will be working towards an Associate’s Degree in CNC Machining and Tool Making at Orange Coast College in early 2019.
